CyberCare Starting Year 2010 with Pacesetters Throughout this new year of 2010, CyberCare will be tagging along with Pacesetters Athletic Club Malaysia in all their run to promote our organization and create awareness among runners of our existence. Early this year, on the 17th January 2010, Pacesetters had organized a run sponsored by New Balance. Before the actual run, there were 2 events of race kit distribution, one at Singgahsana Hotel, Petaling Jaya and the other at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur, where the actual run was held. I and another volunteer actually had been to the one in Singgahsana Hotel on 9th January 2010, the first race kit distribution event of the run. There, we managed to get a total donation of RM65 and 5 bidders for two Samsung hand phones signed by Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson. In another event on race kit distribution that was held on 16th January 2010 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur, there were 10 volunteers including two directors of CyberCare and myself who were there to help out. Throughout this event, we managed to give out about 500 copies of brochure and about 150 copies of survey of CyberCare Charity Run to runners who went to get their race bib and t-shirts.When it came to the actual run event, there were different group of 10 volunteers who sacrificed their sleeping time to help out. In this six and a half hour event, we managed to give out about 236 copies of questionnaire to runners for their response on CyberCare Charity Run. Even though volunteers were all tired due to the long hour event, they still kept up their energy level and stayed focus till the end of the whole events. These volunteers were so enthusiastic when giving out surveys to runners as they know they are helping children in the Homes and Orphanages to realize their dreams.Throughout this New Balance 30km run by Pacesetters, CyberCare managed to collect donation of total RM187 using donation box.
